Brownian emotion? | ||
My friend Frank Brown (deceased) had an internet relationship with a person from Nigeria who claimed to be a woman. S/he may have been but very little is certain when you are using the internet.
For example i saw my phone spring to life when I had turned it off. So I said ‘Siri power off’. And Siri said something to the effect that s/he couldn’t do that unless I logged on. But she went very quiet when I replied ‘then how come you are talking to me?’. Not long after the phone powered off. It makes a ding noise when it does this. Anyway to return to Frank, his internet relationship deepened and he decided to go to Nigeria to meet ‘her’. I told him the Nigerians would cut off his fingers and send them to England with a ransom demand. Fortunately the authorities, whoever they are, wouldn’t let him get on the plane. I don’t know why. Perhaps he didn’t have a visa? This came to mind because I have been using TikTok a lot. Too much. One of the things that happens, or happened to me, is that a large number of seemingly attractive women start contacting you. Annoyingly they don’t actually watch your videos. Mostly I bat them away effortlessly but one, an alleged 30 year old Asian looking (judging by the photo) woman batted down my defences. She was fairly coy about revealing her back story but wanted to transfer from TikTok to WhatsApp. When we did that I discovered from the phone number that she came from Nigeria. |
