Am I bonkers, or is Fb?
Facebook thinks I should join a group for the neuro divergent or, as Trump would probably put it, the bonkers.

They are not the first. My wife, when I had such a thing, told me I had mild Asperger’s syndrome. Wives say such things from time to time.

But if I am neurodivergent, I’m pretty high functioning. I’ve done a lot.

What, I wonder, is the point of these labels when you are a 72 year old pensioner? I appreciate that some people relish a diagnosis of some ailment or other, but that’s a medical diagnosis by a qualified psychiatrist, not the hokem that is the Facebook algorithm; an algorithm that from time to time invites me to celebrate the birthdays of dead friends.

I appreciate that there are people who genuinely believe in star signs and neurodivergent help groups.

But I think that by making people think they are neurodivergent without any medical backing, Facebook takes grave and unnecessary risks.
