Fencing

It took four men much of two days to construct this poorly built fence at the back of my house. It is poorly constructed because the main point of it (apart from keeping unwelcome guests out of the allotments) was to provide access. This it failed to do until late in the day an entrance was fashioned in a rather ham fisted manner.

The fence was required because when the caravan that had stood rather menacingly behind my house for weeks was removed, whoever did it managed to back the chassis into the old fence and knock part of it down. No biggie, as I pointed out at the time, there's a guy who has an allotment there who would be happy to put it back for a few pounds.

Clearly whoever it is who did it is not reading my posts since what they actually did was go to unbelievable expense.

Having matched the adjacent fencing, the problem was that there was not any way in. Hence this rather tatty entrance that has been created, either by the anonymous work crew or by the allotmenteers themselves.

The reason for the huge team was that this was a gang from the local prison on a work assignment.
