War without end
So we are at war in Syria! Who knew? Most, if asked, would probably conclude we are fighting Bashar al-Assad, the evil Syrian dictator, who cowes his own people brutally, even illegally using chemical weapons. But it appears not. It's Assad's enemies, Al-Qaeda, whose drone the RAF has just downed. This story is not just wallpaper on your screen.
It really matters to you, personally. Assad is hardly likely to attack Britain but a drone attack by Al-Qaeda in the UK is all too likely. This is what happens when you have politicians nominally in charge but in reality sleeping it off after going to a party.
