A gull's view of the Eye Private Eye 9-22 July 2021, No. 1551
My copy of Private Eye, stolen by a gull who flew off with it and dropped it on the tracks at Whitehaven Station, just down the road from Sellafield.
It may be anthropomorphising the bird, but it appeared that it was fed up that I wasn't taking more notice of it, as it begged (rather menacingly) around my legs.
If it did want me to pay more attention, the strategy worked. After it carried off my magazine, I paid more attention to it because I had nothing to read and I even fed it some crumbs.
