Dogs Gone gone
For a while I had a video on YouTube that was notching up remarkable viewing figures. It was about Walthamstow Dogs and it was an account of the closure of this one time East End institution, said to be the best greyhound stadium in the world.

The video eventually achieved over half a million views (see below). I let an organisation called Renderyard place the video on YouTube because YouTube doesn't market your videos until you get to very high viewership figures. Renderyard promotes the work of independent filmmakers like me. But Renderyard came under severe attack from animal rights protesters over my video.

These people are against the whole notion of dog racing, which is not as crazy as it sounds because there is a dark side to dog racing. My video was neither for nor against dog racing and I featured an interview with an animal rights protester. That was not enough.

They made a series of protests to YouTube, who effectively banned it, since YouTube operates a three strikes and you are out policy. Renderyard could not afford to lose their channel. So my video has gone and all you can now see is a short I made to promote Dogs Gone when it was shown at the East End Film Festival.

Watch it if only to have the knowledge that you are seeing something, someone out there does not want you to see. https://youtu.be/ajEd8RuXHqU
