Vixen is better gardener than me

I don't see the fox in my garden very often. But I do see her handiwork.

The vixen has dug out extensive earth works; a tunnel system she (and earlier this year, her cubs) live in and some false foxholes, designed to fool any potential attacker.

As a result she has been digging up my garden and finding potatoes, the residue of a crop planted last year. The spuds keep growing unless you track them all down.

So in a sense I guess she's paying rent!

I had been thinking I should put out food for her in the winter. It seems that she is feeding me first.
