In 1987 you used to be able to walk straight up to Stonehenge, at Amesbury, Wiltshire SP4 7DE. I often used to drive down the A303, and would aim to get to Stonehenge at about sunrise. It was a great sight even though the A303 is a lousy road to drive down. Click to see next image.
